“Do everything in love.”
-1 Corinthians 16:14
I have a tendency to over-complicate things, and that is why I LOVE this verse. When in doubt? Do everything in love. When you make a mistake? Respond to yourself in a loving way rather than a self-shaming way. When someone else makes a mistake? Respond to that in love as well.
When we work, when we play, when we meet with friends, when we meet strangers, when we cook, when we apologize, when we face sorrow and loss… Lord, help us to know how to do all of it in love. So thankful that You are love and that You live in us, so we have access to limitless love every day. Help me to open myself up first to receive Your love and then to do everything else as I am resting IN Your love for me.
