I have known this verse to be true in every broken and crushed place that I’ve experienced in my life. I love that the Bible doesn’t try to skip over suffering. Scripture acknowledges and at times guarantees that we will know pain and brokenness, but scripture also promises that alongside every broken heart , comes Jesus, who’s heart was broken for us and whose body was crushed so that we could know our brokenness does not have to be the end of the story. If you are brokenhearted today, or if you feel that your spirit is crushed by the weight of all the pain you’re experiencing, take heart. You are not alone. The Lord is near and He promises to save.
